The installation of CyberGhost on your Mac is straight forward and doesn't require any additional system settings.

To be able to install CyberGhost VPN and use the software you need the following minimum system requirements:
- Hardware
- Macintosh computer with an Intel x86 processor
- 512 MB RAM (depending on your OS X operating system)
- 20 Megabyte free hard drive space
- CD-, DVD- or Blu-ray-Drive (optional for boxed version)
- 1024 x 600 pixel screen resolution, High Color or True Color
- Mouse, Trackball or similar
- Correctly installed and preconfigured Internet connection
- Software
- Mac OS X 10.7 or newer OS (unfortunately 10.6 does not support some important firewall features)

The installation of CyberGhost on your Mac is done in different steps:
- Download CyberGhost VPN and save the DMG file on your Mac
- Open the DMG file and drag the CyberGhost icon into your app folder
- Start CyberGhost via your program overview and install the small additional tool the program asks you for.
- Activate the VPN via the yellow start button (automatic choice of server) or choose location and/or server by yourself and activate the connection then
- Install the second additional tool and, when closing the connection, the third.

In case an update is available, the program notifies the user. Please allow the update and wait a few seconds, until the new code has been downloaded and installed.
The update assistant just checks on the program version. No personal data will be transferred.
