Due to heavy-handed government enforcement and opposition to VPN usage, some countries across the globe make concerted efforts to prevent VPN usage in their country. This inherently makes it extraordinarily difficult to establish a connection in some cases. However, CyberGhost has made progress in ensuring users are able to connect in these restricted countries.
While some difficulty may be encountered upon initial installation and use, it is highly recommended that users attempt to toggle various settings, such as protocols (Wireguard vs IKEv2), toggling to TCP on the Windows application, and attempting to connect to other regions. In some instances, alteration of router settings or contacting your Internet Service Provider, can potentially resolve issues in which deliberate attempts are made to prevent the obfuscation of your connection. However, this falls outside of the support that we are able to offer.
