In case you have successfully connected to our VPN servers, but your real IP address appears on sites such as iplocation.net or ipleak.net, it is most likely that your real IP address is leaking as a result of one or more of the following problems, kindly check the following to fix the problem :
1. IPv6 is enabled your device or router
Currently, CyberGhost does not support IPv6 protocol. The activation of IPv6 on your network may create difficulties to connect to our servers in certain situations.
Check here to learn how to disable IPv6 on your device.
2. DNS leak
Go to this page to perform the DNS leak test. DNS test should show only one DNS server address from the same location. In case you use DNS servers other than ours, your real IP address may leak because all other DNS servers are located outside of our protected VPN tunnel and are not secure.
3. WebRTC leak
In some cases, different browsers experience WebRTC leaks that can cause real IP address leakage, even when using a VPN.
To protect yourself from this issue, please check our WebRC leak prevention article
