Which servers will be available for me?

The CyberGhost VPN Free Version gives access to a limited number of servers, which might lead to log in waiting times. The service is partly financed through temporary advertisements about CyberGhost products. All free users will have access to this basic server park.

Paid users will have access to those locations/countries, their respective subscription includes (Special Edition, Premium or Premium Plus). These servers are used without displaying advertisements, are faster and outnumber the Free Service, therefore eliminating the risk of a server overload. Also, there are no waiting times. A user will automatically be connected to the network with a server less demanded or has the option of manually selecting a server from a list. If the numbers of active users increase, additional servers are activated.

Protocols & number of devices: In regards to one's running plan 1 to 5 devices can be used at the same time online, either with the CyberGhost clients for Windows, Mac OS or Android and/or additional with the native protocols OpenVPN, L2TP/IPSec and PPTP. The Free Service is depended on the CyberGhost client, which uses OpenVPN.

Bandwidth: There is no artificial bandwidth limitation when connected to a Premium server, but of course the limit is related to your Internet connection speed and the uplink of the VPN server. Goal is to provide you with an average-speed of 6 Mbit/s on a Premium server and more (up to your usual Internet speed).

The client provides a list of all active servers. Free servers are marked as well as those equipped to run L2TP/IPSec and PPTP connections (for mobile devices).
