If your activation code is being rejected, please note that an activation code becomes invalid the second it has been assigned to an account (which happens when you enter the activation code).
If you need to reinstall CyberGhost later on or want to use your account with a different computer, just log in with your credentials (username and password), not with the now-invalid activation code. Your subscription is bound to your account, not the code.
If a brand new activation key is being rejected, one of the following possibilities might have happened:
- The activation code has expired: Activation codes have to be entered within a certain time frame (which is communicated along with the respective promotion). After the expiry date, the code becomes invalid.
- The activation code was obtained from an unauthorized source: Activation codes purchased from unauthorized sellers or third-party marketplaces may be invalid and cannot be guaranteed by CyberGhost.
- A technical issue occurred: If you’re sure the code is valid but you’re still unable to redeem it, there might be a technical problem. In this case, contact CyberGhost Support for assistance.
If you purchased an activation code from an unauthorized seller, please be aware that promotional CyberGhost activation codes aren’t intended for resale. They’re often distributed free of charge or as part of a special promotion and may come with restrictions. You should contact the seller to request a refund.
To ensure you receive a valid subscription with full access to CyberGhost services, we recommend purchasing only through official CyberGhost channels or authorized partners. CyberGhost’s authorized resellers are:
