Yes, in certain limited cases, each with a specific reason:
- Group companies: Kape Technologies PLC and its subsidiaries may receive your account data to allow employees with cross-group responsibilities to operate the business. This is only possible if they operate under the same data protection standards.
- Payment processors: Your payment details are shared with third-party processors solely to process your payment and activate your subscription.
- Legal requirements: CyberGhost may disclose account data if required by law, a court order, or to protect its own legal rights.
What Doesn’t and Can’t Get Shared
The data that could be shared in the above cases is limited to account information. Your VPN activity is never collected in the first place.
CyberGhost's no-logs policy means it doesn’t record, log, or store:
- Browsing history
- Traffic destinations
- DNS queries
- IP addresses
- Connection timestamps or session duration
So even if CyberGhost were forced to hand over data by a court order, there would be no VPN activity logs to share.
