CyberGhost VPN and its payment providers handle different parts of the subscription process. Payment providers process your payment and generate activation keys, while CyberGhost uses the activation key only to activate your subscription.
Also, since CyberGhost doesn’t log browsing activity, DNS queries, or session data, an activation key can't be used to link a subscription to specific VPN activity. The key can confirm a subscription exists, but it can’t reveal who’s behind it or what they do online.
