Your CyberGhost subscription is linked to your account, not to a specific installation of the app. If you've reinstalled CyberGhost VPN or your operating system, sign in with the same account credentials you used when purchasing or activating your subscription.
Once you log in, CyberGhost will automatically recognize your active subscription.
Note that when you reinstall your operating system, CyberGhost may treat the device as a new installation. If you've reached your device limit, you'll need to remove the old device entry from your account. Here’s how.
-
Log in to your online account using the credentials for the account with the active subscription.
-
Open the VPN section. Find the obsolete device and select Delete.
-
Then reinstall CyberGhost VPN by downloading the correct version for your system from the Download Hub.
Having trouble signing in?
If you can't remember your login credentials, use the account recovery options to regain access to your CyberGhost account.
What about activation keys?
Activation keys can only be redeemed once. After a key has been used to activate a subscription, the subscription remains linked to the CyberGhost account that redeemed it. If you're reinstalling the app or your operating system, simply sign in to that account; you don’t need to enter the activation key again.
