How to redeem and activate your Dedicated IP on Android

A Dedicated IP provides an IP address that only you have access to. It could help you resolve issues on platforms that flag shared VPN IP addresses or require consistent IP addresses.

Redeem Your Dedicated IP

You redeem your Dedicated IP through your CyberGhost VPN account in a web browser. You can do this on your Android device or a computer, whichever you prefer.

  1. Log in to your CyberGhost VPN account.

  1. On the left, select Dedicated IP.

  1. Select I acknowledge, I want to pick my location to proceed. Note you can only redeem your Dedicated IP token once. After you do it, this section disappears.

  1. Choose your desired Dedicated IP location, then click Redeem Token. Remember your Dedicated IP will match the chosen geographic location, and that you cannot change this later.

  1. Your Dedicated IP token will now be displayed on the screen. Use the copy, download, or print icons next to it to save it securely.

Important: Save your Dedicated IP token before exiting the page. If you close the page, you will be unable to recover the token. 

Add Your Dedicated IP to the App

  1. Launch the CyberGhost VPN Android app and tap the cog icon to open the Settings menu.

  1. Next, tap the VPN tab.

  1. Tap Dedicated IP.

  1. Enter your Dedicated IP token and tap OK.

  1. Your Dedicated IP is automatically added to the app. To access it, tap the server location widget on the home screen.

  1. You can find your Dedicated IP in the Countries tab, at the top. It’s also located in the Favorites tab.
