How to Install CyberGhost VPN on macOS

This guide shows you how to install CyberGhost VPN on your Mac.

System Requirements

CyberGhost VPN supports macOS 10.13 (High Sierra) and later, and needs about 70 MB of free disk space.

Installation

To install CyberGhost VPN on your Mac:

1. Go to your account management page, and log in with your username and password.

2. Under Download Hub, select Download next to CyberGhost VPN for macOS.

3. Your browser will download the installation file. In Safari, you’ll first see a prompt asking to allow downloads from the site, so select Allow.

4. Open your Downloads folder and double-click the installation file.

5. Follow the on-screen instructions.

6. Confirm the installation with your macOS username and password or Touch ID. Don’t enter your CyberGhost VPN username and password here.

7. Once the installation is finished, move the installer to the Trash.

7. At the login screen, enter your CyberGhost VPN username and password, then select Login.

You’ve now installed CyberGhost VPN on your Mac.

Note: The first time you connect using WireGuard, CyberGhost VPN may need to install a small helper tool to set up the connection. When prompted, select Install Helper. Without it, the app can’t establish a WireGuard connection.
