This guide explains how to use CyberGhost’s servers optimized for P2P (Peer-to-Peer) traffic via your CyberGhost VPN app for macOS.
Note: P2P file sharing laws vary by country. In many countries, downloading or distributing copyrighted content without permission is illegal. Always check the laws in your country before using P2P networks, and ensure you only share files you have the legal right to distribute. Users are solely responsible for ensuring their use of P2P networks complies with all applicable laws, regulations, and third-party terms.
To connect to a P2P server:
- In the CyberGhost VPN app on your Mac, click the arrow to expand the CyberGhost menu.
- Select the For Downloading category from the left-side menu.
- Choose a server from the list and click the Connect button to connect.
Tip: For the best download speeds, choose a server location geographically close to you. While CyberGhost doesn’t impose speed or data limits, factors such as your ISP (Internet Service Provider), local network conditions, and physical distance to the server can affect performance.
