Can I Purchase More Than One Dedicated IP?
No. You can only purchase one Dedicated IP subscription per CyberGhost VPN account.
Can I Use My Dedicated IP on Multiple Devices?
Yes. Although you can only redeem your Dedicated IP token once, you can use that same token to activate and use your Dedicated IP on multiple devices.
You can connect up to 7 devices to your Dedicated IP simultaneously. You will need to activate your Dedicated IP manually on each device you want to use, as the token does not automatically sync across your devices.
To activate your Dedicated IP on your devices, follow our setup guides for Android, iOS, Windows, and macOS.
What Should I Do if I Lose My Dedicated IP Token?
If you have lost or cannot find your Dedicated IP token, you may be able to recover it from your downloads folder or via the CyberGhost VPN app on a mobile device.
Note: If you are unable to find your Dedicated IP token after following the steps below, CyberGhost VPN cannot retrieve or resend it. For your privacy, we use zero-knowledge encryption when assigning Dedicated IP tokens, which means we do not store your token and cannot access this data.
Check Your Downloads Folder
When you redeem your Dedicated IP, you can download your token as a token.txt file. Check the Downloads folder on the device you used to redeem your Dedicated IP:
Windows
- Open File Explorer.
- Select Downloads from the sidebar.
- Look for a file named token.txt.
macOS
- Open Finder.
- Select Downloads from the sidebar.
- Look for a file named token.txt.
Android
- Open the Files app or the file manager.
- Open Downloads.
- Look for a file named token.txt.
iOS
- Open Files.
- Tap Browse, then select Downloads.
- Look for a file named token.txt.
Check the CyberGhost VPN Mobile App
If your Dedicated IP has already been activated in the CyberGhost VPN app on an Android or iOS device, you can find your token in the app:
- Open CyberGhost VPN and tap Settings (gear icon).
- Tap VPN.
- Under Dedicated IP, you should see your Dedicated IP token.
Copy the token and save it somewhere secure so you can access it again if needed.
If you cannot find your token.txt file or your token in the CyberGhost VPN app, unfortunately, there is no way to recover it.
Can I Use My Dedicated IP Token With a Different Account?
Yes. You can use your Dedicated IP token with a different CyberGhost VPN account from the one you used to generate it. However, you can only purchase one Dedicated IP per account.
Can I Use the Same VPN Protocol With My Dedicated IP on Multiple Devices?
No. CyberGhost VPN Dedicated IP does not support using the same VPN protocol on multiple devices at the same time. If you connect multiple devices to your Dedicated IP simultaneously, you need to use a different VPN protocol on each device.
Can I Use Remote Desktop Protocol (RDP) With My Dedicated IP?
No. You cannot use RDP to remotely access your device through your Dedicated IP. Attempting to connect to the Dedicated IP with RDP will target the VPN server rather than your device.
Does Dedicated IP Support Obfuscated Traffic?
No. CyberGhost VPN Dedicated IP servers do not support obfuscated traffic.
Will I Receive a New or Previously Used Dedicated IP?
It depends on the IP range. If CyberGhost VPN recently obtained the IP range, you will likely receive an IP address that has not been used before. If the range is not new, another customer may have used the IP address previously.
Does CyberGhost VPN Check the Reputation of Dedicated IP Addresses?
CyberGhost VPN performs blocklist cleanup at the IP range level.
