- Connection Checker: Check whether your device has a working internet connection and can reach the CyberGhost VPN network. The tool analyzes your network connectivity and helps identify issues that may prevent you from connecting to the VPN.
- Small packet size: Enable a small MTU size if you’re experiencing website blockages. This option will automatically adjust it according to the capabilities of your underlying network.
Wi-Fi Protection
You can turn on warnings for when CyberGhost VPN detects a new Wi-Fi network. If you frequently connect to public Wi-Fi networks, it’s recommended to keep this feature enabled.
You can also configure how CyberGhost VPN responds when you join new or known Wi-Fi networks. Tap any setting to adjust your preferences.
Now choose one of the following actions (all options are available for password-protected networks and open networks alike):
- Ask: Every time your device detects a Wi-Fi network, CyberGhost VPN asks you if you want to be protected.
- Always connect: Every time your device detects a Wi-Fi network, CyberGhost VPN automatically starts a VPN connection.
- Terminate connection: By choosing this option, CyberGhost VPN will ignore any Wi-Fi network.
- Never protect: If you already have a VPN connection running and you enter a (different) Wi-Fi network, CyberGhost VPN will disable the connection.
You can also tap Manage Wi-Fi networks to set preferences for each Wi-Fi network.
From here, you can view your saved networks and change how the app responds when you connect to a specific network.
