This guide shows you how to connect to CyberGhost VPN and choose a VPN location on your iPhone or iPad.

Connect to CyberGhost VPN
By default, CyberGhost VPN uses Best Location, which automatically selects the location with the best performance for you.
To connect:
- Open the CyberGhost VPN app and tap the power button.
- Once connected, you’ll see a yellow highlight over the power button, as well as the server location and the VPN IP address.
Connect to a Specific Location
To connect to a specific server location in the CyberGhost VPN app:
- On the main screen, tap Best Location.
- You’ll see a list of servers. Find the server location you want and tap to connect.
- If you want to connect to a specific city, follow this guide. You can also learn how to select specific streaming servers.
- CyberGhost will automatically start a connection and display the server location and the IP address assigned.
Return to Best Location
If you want CyberGhost VPN to connect you to the recommended Best Location after you’ve manually selected and/or connected to a server location, follow these steps:
- Tap the power button to disconnect from the current server.
- Tap the X button next to the server name.
- The app should show Best Location. Then, tap the power button to connect.
- The app will choose the best server location for you and connect to it.
Use Connection Checker
If you're having trouble connecting or want to check that your VPN connection is working correctly, you can use the CyberGhost VPN Connection Checker.
- Open the CyberGhost VPN app and tap settings (cog icon).
- Tap VPN > Connection Checker.
- Tap Run test.
- Wait for the app to display results. It will tell you if your connection is working correctly.
