CyberGhost VPN lets you customize your Wi-Fi protection. You can automate how the VPN reacts to all unsecured connections, or pick specific actions for individual hotspots. Here’s how.
- Tap the Settings gear icon on the home screen.
2. Select the Wi-Fi tab.
- Enable Wi-Fi Protection to see additional settings. When active, it automatically prompts you to secure all Wi-Fi connections by default. We recommend you keep this feature on for continuous protection, especially on public hotspots.
- To change this setting, tap Unconfigured WiFi and select one of the following default actions:
- Ask: Prompts you to enable VPN protection every time your device detects a Wi-Fi network.
- Protect: Automatically secures your traffic when you connect to a hotspot.
- Disable protection: Terminates your active VPN connection when you switch networks.
- Ignore: Won’t take any action when your device connects to Wi-Fi.
- Tap Manage Wi-Fi Networks to update rules for previously saved Wi-Fi networks. Next, select your chosen network and enable a different action.
