CyberGhost lets you customize your Wi-Fi protection. You can automate how the VPN reacts to all unsecured connections, or pick specific actions for individual hotspots. Here’s how.
- Tap the Settings gear icon on the home screen.
2. Select the Wi-Fi tab.
- Enable Wi-Fi Protection to see additional settings. When active, it automatically prompts you to secure all Wi-Fi connections by default. We recommend you keep this feature on for continuous protection, especially on public hotspots.
To change this setting, tap Unconfigured WiFi and select one of the following default actions:
- Ask: Prompts you to enable VPN protection every time your device detects a Wi-Fi network.
- Protect: Automatically secures your traffic when you connect to a hotspot.
- Disable protection: Terminates your active VPN connection when you switch networks.
- Ignore: Won’t take any action when your device connects to Wi-Fi.
- Tap Manage Wi-Fi Networks to update rules for previously saved Wi-Fi networks. Next, select your chosen network and enable a different action.
