This guide will show you how to configure CyberGhost Smart DNS for your Xbox 360.
Note: Smart DNS works differently from a VPN connection. It changes how some DNS requests are handled, but it doesn't encrypt your internet traffic or provide the same privacy and security protections as the CyberGhost VPN app.

Step 2: Configure Smart DNS on Your Xbox 360
Step 1: Enable Smart DNS
Before you begin, you need to enable Smart DNS in your CyberGhost VPN account to get the Smart DNS server addresses.
- Sign into your CyberGhost VPN account.

Select Smart DNS from the left-hand menu.

Select Enable Smart DNS.

Select Xbox and note down the DNS address shown. You'll need it in the next steps.
Step 2: Configure Smart DNS on Your Xbox 360
Turn on your Xbox 360, then:
- Go to My Xbox, then select System Settings.
- Select Network Settings.
- Select Wired Network or the name of your wireless network.
- Select Configure Network.
- On the Basic Settings tab, select DNS Settings.
- Select Manual.
- Select Primary DNS Server, enter the DNS address you copied from your account dashboard in step 1, and then select Done. Leave the Secondary DNS Server blank.
- Press B on your controller, then select Test Xbox Live Connection to verify the connection.
Step 3: Restart Your Xbox
Restart your Xbox 360 for the changes to take effect. Go to Settings > Turn Off, wait 30 seconds, then power it back on.
Step 4: Verify the Connection
Once restarted, go to System Settings > Network Settings and select Test Xbox Live Connection to confirm everything is working correctly.
