Configure My Smart DNS for Nintendo Wii

Please note that our SmartDNS feature is no longer compatible with streaming services. It can still be used for general DNS purposes.

This guide shows you how to configure CyberGhost Smart DNS on your Nintendo Wii using the DNS address provided in your CyberGhost account. 

Before you begin, make sure Smart DNS is enabled in your CyberGhost account.

  1. Sign in to the Account Dashboard.

  1. Open the Smart DNS tab, locate the Console Smart DNS section (i.e., Xbox or PlayStation), and copy the DNS address from any available column.

Set up Smart DNS on your Wii

  1. From the Nintendo Wii main menu, select the Wii button.

  1. Select Wii Settings.

  1. Select Internet.

  1. Choose an active connection.

  1. Choose Change Settings.

  1. Scroll right until you reach Auto-Obtain DNS and select Advanced Settings.

  1. Enter the Smart DNS address shown in your CyberGhost account dashboard:

  • Primary DNS: Enter the CyberGhost Smart DNS address.
  • Secondary DNS: Leave this field blank.
  1. Then choose Save.

  1. Allow the connection test to finish.
