How to Automatically Protect Wi-Fi networks with CyberGhost VPN on iOS

This guide shows you how to configure and manage Wi-Fi Auto-Protect settings in the CyberGhost VPN iOS app.

CyberGhost VPN can automatically protect your device when you join a Wi-Fi network. You can choose different actions for secure (password-protected) and open Wi-Fi networks, as well as set custom behavior for specific networks.

Configure Automatic Protection for Wi-Fi Networks

Open the CyberGhost VPN app and tap Settings.

2. Tap Wi-Fi.

Make sure Wi-Fi Auto-Protect is turned on.

Tap Secure Wi-Fi and Open Wi-Fi to select how CyberGhost VPN should respond when your device joins each type of Wi-Fi network.

Note: "Secure Wi-Fi" refers to password-protected networks. "Open Wi-Fi" refers to networks that are not protected by a password, such as many public Wi-Fi networks.

You can choose from the following options for each type of Wi-Fi network:

Ask: CyberGhost VPN asks whether you want to connect each time you join a Wi-Fi network.
Always Connect: CyberGhost VPN automatically connects whenever you join a Wi-Fi network.
Never Protect: The VPN doesn’t connect automatically when you join a Wi-Fi network.
Terminate Connection: CyberGhost VPN disconnects the VPN when you join the Wi-Fi network and doesn’t reconnect.
