How to Sign Up to CyberGhost
To sign up for CyberGhost, you can purchase a subscription via the CyberGhost VPN website. During checkout, you will be asked to provide an email address for your account. Once you’ve signed up, check your email for your account details. Check our guide on how to purchase a subscription for step-by-step instructions.
Alternatively, you can sign up within the Windows app and avail of a free trial when available.
Download the Windows App
Before you start, you’ll need to download the app to your device:
- Visit our VPN for Windows page and click Download VPN for PC.
- Locate the installation file on your device and open it.
- Follow the on-screen prompts to install the app.
- Choose Agree & Continue if you consent to limited anonymous data being shared with CyberGhost, or select I want to opt-out.
- Wait a few seconds, and the CyberGhost VPN app will open automatically.
Existing Users: Log Into CyberGhost VPN
If you have already purchased a subscription, you can simply enter the username and password created during your purchase to log in.
New Users: Create an Account within the App
If you haven’t yet purchased a subscription, you can create your account directly from the Windows app. You may also be able to avail of a 1-day free trial:
- When you reach the login screen, select Click here to create a new one.
- Log in using your newly created account.
Troubleshooting Login Issues
Here are solutions to common issues you may face when attempting to log in:
Incorrect login credentials
If you’re getting the message “Invalid username or password!" double-check that you're using the correct login credentials (the ones you received via email after completing the sign-up process). Also, make sure that Caps Lock is turned off; the password is case sensitive. If this doesn’t solve the issue, move on to the next section.
Forgot my password
If you’ve forgotten your password, you can reset it here by entering the email address associated with your account. You’ll receive a temporary password by email, which you can use to log in. You can change your password later from your account settings.
Maximum number of devices reached
You can only be logged into CyberGhost VPN on 7 devices at the same time. If you attempt to log in on a new device when you're already at the cap, it will fail.
To remove CyberGhost VPN from a device you're no longer using it on, go to your account management page, and click Manage My Devices.
Then click Delete next to the device you wish to remove.
