Set up CyberGhost VPN for Android via APK file

Please be aware that the CyberGhost VPN may not be accessible through various app stores in certain regions.

If you are unable to download CyberGhost VPN through the Google Store or equivalent store on your Android device, download the APK file directly from our website. Please keep in mind that we do not recommend downloading CyberGhost VPN APK files from third-party websites, as they could contain malware.

In order to download the APK file, you will need to enable APK installations first. This setting is disabled by default as a security measure to protect your device from potentially malicious files.

1. Enable APK Installation on Your Android Device

This process differs based on your device’s manufacturer. 

Huawei & Honor

  1. Go to Settings
  2. Select Security

  1. Select More settings

  1. Tap on Install apps from external sources

  1. Find your browser and tap on it
  2. Toggle the button to allow 

Xiaomi

  1. Go to Settings
  2. Select Privacy
  3. Select Special permission
  4. Select Install unknown apps
  5. Tap on your browser and enable Allow from this source
  6. Tap OK

Samsung (Android 8.x and higher)

  1. Go to Settings

  1. Select Apps

  1. Tap the three buttons in the upper right corner

  1. Choose Special access

  1. Select Install unknown apps

  1. Find the browser you are using and toggle the button on

Samsung (Android 7.x and lower)

  1. Go to Settings
  2. Select Security
  3. Tap the Unknown sources switch to turn it on

Next, you can download the APK file.

 

2. Download the CyberGhost VPN APK file

  1. Visit this download link on the CyberGhost VPN website, and download the file
  2. Go to your downloads folder, and tap on the downloaded file
  3. You will receive a pop-up notification. Select Allow to continue

  1. Tap on Install

  1. Once the installation is complete, tap on Open
