CyberGhost VPN doesn’t support IPv6, so having it enabled on your device may interfere with how the VPN works. If you’re experiencing connectivity issues, disabling IPv6 may help resolve them.
Note: This guide works on both Windows 10 and 11
Disable IPv6 on Windows 10 and 11
-
Type “network connections” in the Start menu and click View network connections.
-
Locate your active internet connection. Depending on your setup, it may be called Ethernet or Wi-Fi.
-
Right-click your internet connection and select Properties.
-
Uncheck the Internet Protocol Version 6 (TCP/IPv6) option and click OK to save.
When done, check if the CyberGhost VPN app is running well. If you continue to experience issues, refer to our Windows troubleshooting guide.
