Neagent, which is short for Network Extension Agent, is a macOS process that helps your Mac establish a secure connection to CyberGhost VPN servers. Because CyberGhost VPN uses the IKEv2/IPsec protocol on Mac, neagent needs access to your Keychain to retrieve the VPN authentication data required to connect.
When prompted, you have three options:
- Deny: Neagent cannot access the Keychain and the VPN connection cannot be established.
- Allow: Grants access for the current session only. You'll need to re-authorize neagent each time you connect.
- Always Allow: Neagent accesses the Keychain automatically on every connection, so you won't be prompted again.
We recommend selecting Always Allow for the smoothest experience.
