If you see the error "Unable to retrieve keychain password" when connecting on macOS, start by quitting CyberGhost VPN, restarting your Mac, then opening the app and logging in again.
If the error continues, the CyberGhost VPN credentials saved in your Keychain may be outdated. Removing them lets the app store fresh credentials the next time you log in.
Here's how to do that:
-
Open Spotlight by pressing Command (⌘) + Space, or open the Apps icon in the Dock, then search for Keychain Access and open it.
-
In the search field, type “CyberGhost” to find the related items.
-
Select all items that include the name “CyberGhost VPN,” then right-click and choose Delete.
-
When prompted, authenticate using Touch ID or select Use Password, and enter your Mac password.
- Relaunch CyberGhost VPN.
